About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, The Behavioural Scientist is a position that sits in the People and Communications branch and will take ownership of people research and related human behaviour data to ensure the branch reaches and delivers information, education and programs to maximum impact and effectiveness.

The responsibilities of the Behavioural Scientist will include, but are not limited to:

 • Initiate, lead and contribute to major behavioural insights projects across ST Vic, including proactively monitoring and pursuing opportunities to use behavioural insights to support our programs of work.

• Conduct behavioural, ethnographic and qualitative research using appropriate methods and undertake quantitative & qualitative analysis, accurately interpreting the results and distilling key findings

• Proactively develop and nurture positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners, to influence the development of improved business outcomes, ensuring ST Vic’s objectives and priorities are achieved.

• Prepare and present detailed reports, submissions and briefings as required including recommendations and corrective actions for consideration by senior management to inform their decision making.

• Provide effective leadership, people management and support to the team, including direct reports.

• Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.

 Demonstrated experience working in in any of the following or related disciplines:

• Behavioural Sciences or Psychology including proficiency in the use of a software such as SPSS or Qualtrics

• Economics
