About the Role
This is a great fixed term full time opportunity with the CFA. The purpose of the Brigade Administrative Support Officer is to provide customer service and administrative support to its assigned Brigade, its volunteers and the community. More specifically:
Administration:
• Handle daily administrative tasks for Brigade Management Team(s) to support volunteer services.
• Manage general administrative tasks like word processing, record-keeping, and accounting for the Brigade.
Volunteer Support:
• Assist in recruiting and retaining volunteer members as needed by the Brigade Management Team(s).
• Develop and execute fundraising activities for the Volunteer Brigade as required.
• Provide administrative support to volunteer brigades, as outlined in the EBA and position description.
• Coordinate meetings for Brigade members, including regular Brigade meetings and community group meetings.
Community Liaison:
• Organise the delivery of community campaigns and special information campaigns for the Brigade and CFA.
• Offer assistance to Brigade Management Team(s) with correspondence, activity planning, and meetings.
• Perform other necessary tasks as assigned
About You
• Experience and understanding of working within a volunteer environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience in modern administrative and information management.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate capacity to work with limited supervision and delivery within required time frames.
• Experience or qualifications relevant to meeting the requirements of this position are essential.
