Business Analyst

Your New Role

In this role, you will provide comprehensive analytical and financial support to the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Revenue Management: Overseeing and managing the revenue cycle, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition and reporting.
  • Monthly End & Reporting: Assisting with month-end financial processes, including the preparation of financial statements and performance reports.
  • Performance Reporting: Analysing financial performance data to generate insightful reports that inform decision-making processes.
  • Financial Control: Implementing and maintaining financial controls to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Grant Management: Managing financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, reporting, and ensuring adherence to grant conditions.

You will collaborate closely with team members to provide financial insights and support to various projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should hold:

  • Financial Experience: Proven experience in financial analysis and management, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • CPA/CA Aspirations: Either looking to commence or already pursuing CPA or CA qualifications.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.
  • Proactive Attitude: A 'can do' attitude with a strong desire to learn, develop, and contribute to the team's success.
