 About the Role

To provide leadership to staff by providing an effective and efficient catering program to the patients, residents, clients and staff of Grampians Health Stawell.

The Food Services Team Leader is responsible for all aspects of managing the daily operations of the Food Services department while participating in the rotation and coverage of rostered shifts across 7 days.

The Food Services Team Leader ensures compliance with Grampians Health Stawell Food Safety Plan ensuring that at all times it meets the regulatory standards of the Food Act (1984), as well as all other legislative and accreditation standards.

Skills and Experience

  • Commitment to Grampians Health Stawell values of Collaboration, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Innovation
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate - HLT FSE001, HLT FSE005 & HLT FSE007
  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in supervision of large number of staff
  • Demonstrated compliance with workplace Regulations, Australian Standards, Infection Control, Workplace Health Safety and Wellbeing, and relevant industry standards, including a Food Safety Plan
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage a production kitchen
  • Demonstrated skills in team building
