You will become part of a multidisciplinary team providing diabetes education to both inpatients and outpatients across Western Health.  We have a very busy Gestational Diabetes Service, Insulin Pump Service, Ambulatory Insulin Stabilization Service and Young Adults Clinic as well as inpatient services in all ward areas. Growth in our outpatient clinics to encompass renal transplant patients, an aboriginal health clinic, patients with complex comorbidities and diabetes has created the need for extra support for these patients.


If you are a diabetes nurse educator who loves a challenge you will embrace this role.


You must have a current driver’s license, a reliable car available during work hours and be prepared to travel between sites as required.


To be successful in this role you will be an experienced dynamic diabetes nurse educator who enjoys the challenge of working both in a clinic environment and in the community. Your knowledge of working with people living with diabetes in disadvantaged communities will also be very helpful. You need to be a great team player who can be adaptable in a busy and diverse work environment
