About the Role                                                                        

An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Support Nurse within the  Nursing and Midwifery Education and Strategy team (NaMES) within Monash Health in the Intensive Care Unit. Primarily based at our Dandenong campus but not limited. Our intensive care unit is a dynamic high acuity unit which offers a variety of patient cohorts and a vast range of complexities providing a challenging and rewarding working environment.

This is a permanent ongoing role.   

We are looking for a highly skilled critical care trained nurse with a passion for education.

This role includes providing:

  • Supporting contemporary education that promotes best practice standards
  • Clinical support to staff of all proficiency levels novice to expert
  • Demonstrating and promoting expertise and best practice standards
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team including the multi-disciplinary team
  • Utilises resources such as the professional development framework to support a flexible and highly skilled workforce

About You

You are a highly skilled nurse with well-developed clinical skills and excel in engagement, communication and collaboration within the team environment. You have a passion for and experience in supporting learners. You will have a minimum of or working towards post graduate qualifications in critical care (ICU nursing)

You can confidently demonstrate the following:

  • Commitment to quality clinical care and sound clinical skills
  • Developing leadership and  the ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to show initiative and work independently when required
  • A well-developed understanding of different teaching and learning styles, and able to demonstrate high quality creation, delivery and evaluation of your teaching via various modalities

 What You Need:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience in intensive care nursing
  • minimum postgraduate certificate in critical care (ICU) nursing
