The Team

The position of Communication Officer – Research and Innovation forms a part of the Agriculture Victoria Branch and Agriculture Victoria Research Branch. Agriculture Victoria works with industry and community stakeholders to support the agriculture, food and fibre sector to become more globally competitive, innovative and resilient. The Agriculture Victoria Research Branch represents DJPR's agricultural research and innovation function.

The Role

As a member of the AVR Operations team, you will be expected to operate with a minimum level of direction, prioritise competing workload demands and deliver high quality outputs in a timely manner to agreed standards.

  • Support the development and implementation of communication strategies
  • Forecast media opportunities and news cycles to achieve strategic communication goals
  • Provide editorial support and assist with the design and delivery

About You

Key knowledge and skills requirements for this role include excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong professional relationships, and capacity to manage competing priorities.
