Community & Event Fundraising Coordinator - Fixed Term, Part Time Role

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Fundraising plays a crucial role in advancing cancer research, with funds raised accelerating the search for cancer cures. The Community and Events Fundraising Co-ordinator will play a key role in inspiring individuals to create their own, or participate in, community fundraising events to make a significant impact in the search for cancer cures. This role is responsible for the co-ordinator of all campaign activities to maximise participation of supporters within the portfolio, including the planning, implementation and stewardship of fundraisers.
You will support delivery of the following:
• Challenge adventures, including the Larapinta trail
• Mass Participation events, including Melbourne Marathon and Run Melbourne
• Great Ocean and Otway Bike Classic
• Unite to Fight Cancer Virtual Peer to Peer event
• Community Fundraising Supporter events
You will be skilled and passionate about fundraising events, including community and peer-to-peer campaigns, and managing relationships internally and externally to maximise participation and fundraising.
About You
• Experience in the development and co-ordination of successful event fundraising plans of varying scale in the corporate and/or not-for-profit sector
• Experience in the co-ordination, cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of fundraisers, corporate supporters and prospects, and servicing donor/sponsor commitments
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines in a fast paced environment
• The ability to exercise tact, discretion and good judgement, motivating people towards a common goal
• Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practices is desirable

Remuneration as per Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 from $74,448.40 per annum for full-time (prorated for part-time) up to $80,000.00 per annum for full-time (prorated for part-time) depending on candidate experience.
