About the role

The Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Psychotherapy will be responsible for primary and secondary assessments of patients for psychotherapy treatnents, and take a lead role in the assessment and management of consumers in collaboration with other clinician and lived experience colleagues.  This role will also involve the delivery of psychotherapy training and provision of supervision to psychiatrists, pyshicatrists in training and the multidisciplinary team. 

 We are looking for

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychiatrist.
• Fellow of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
• Possess Advanced Certificate in Psychotherapy or demonstrated adequate experience in the sub speciality that is acceptable by RANZCP.
• High level of knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and in particular its application to community care.
• Excellent clinical skills and experience in providing psychiatric care to adults with mental health disorders.
