Plan and coordinate compliance checks and quality audits in line with organisational and strategic priorities

  • Part time ongoing role based in Melbourne (4 days a week)
  • Salary commensurate with experience, range: $91,334 - $114,165 pro rata plus superannuation

About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance and working in consultation with the broader Legal Practice management you will plan and coordinate quality audits and compliance checks. You will engage with stakeholders to address any key issues and risks and provide regular reporting. You will also be responsible for identifying firms and practitioners for compliance checks and quality audits.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of system improvements while strengthening VLA's relationships with members of the private legal profession.

About you:
You will bring strong experience and technical knowledge in compliance and quality assurance. You will have sound report writing and analysis skills, including an ability to think laterally and innovatively in providing strategies and solutions. You will manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to building collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at varying levels.

Crucial to your success in this role is your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex legal content into plain language to suit a range of audiences.
