HOURS:             20.0 hours per fortnight

DEPARTMENT:   Finance Department

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Finance team in this part time position.  Applications are sought from enthusiastic individuals who have finance experience and are keen to enjoy a new challenge in a large organization.

The Position:

The Debt Collection Officer is responsible for providing debt collection within BRHS, for sundry debtors, Inpatient Debtors and Aged Care Debtors and in conjunction with Accounts Receivable staff.  The position will ensure best practice in debt collection, service delivery and efficiency.  The role will work collaboratively within a small team, providing assistance with other duties as required and leave coverage support.

What you need:

  • Experience and a good knowledge of debt collection, accounts receivable, reconciliation and general accounting procedures
  • Excellent phone manner and communication skills
  • Proven excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and computerised accounting systems
  • Proven ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
