What you will be doing

Reporting directly to the Print and Design Manager, in this role you will be responsible for:

  • Designing high-quality printed and digital products and materials that support the delivery of election services.
  • Supporting with planning and leading design projects aligned with improving election services.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their requirements and conducting research and analysis to support the development of design solutions.
  • Taking ownership of end-to-end quality assurance process for election products and ballot material, supporting the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide specialised support to a small design team, fostering a collaborative environment.

What you will bring to the role

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in visual communication, graphic or user experience design or experience in a similar role
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in evaluating multiple design concepts
  • Exceptional attention to detail in written communication, ensuring error-free documents
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, including effective communication and demonstrated people management abilities
  • Commitment to the VEC's core vales
