Director Paediatric Urology, Monash Health

About the role

The Director of Paediatric Urology has the responsibility for the clinical and operational performance for Paediatric Urology across Monash Health. The appointee will be a leader of a broad children’s surgical team who acts as a role model of the core values and principles of the organisation and provides outstanding, effective leadership, coordination, and management of unit staff. The appointee will support excellence in interdisciplinary clinical practice so that we consistently provide safe, high quality and timely care such that the clinical experience provided exceeds expectations.

Reporting to the Program Director Surgery program, the position has responsibility for the effective management and leadership of the Paediatric Urology Department at all sites and for the provision of services consistent with our Strategic and Clinical Service plans.

About Paediatric Urology

The Department of Paediatric Urology at Monash Children’s Hospital provides a specialty service for the diagnosis and management of babies and children with both simple and complex disorders of the urinary and genital tracts (genito-urinary system).

Our Paediatric urologists manage genitourinary problems present at or before birth, as well as those that develop during childhood. Our close links and co-location with Monash Maternity, Monash Newborn and Monash Medical Centre allow for the seamless provision of urological care for all conditions in patients from before birth to beyond puberty.

  • An attractive remuneration package is on offer for this part time role, comprising base salary range of $143,869 - $187,524 p.a. (HN19 to HN59), employer contribution to superannuation (10%), continuous medical education support allowance ($28,442 p.a. pro rata), leave loading (17.5%), conference leave (2 weeks p.a. pro rata), clinical support time, professional indemnity cover.
