Director, Schools Procurement - VPS STS - Ongoing, Full-Time

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Procurement Division at the Department of Education and Training.

The Schools Procurement Branch support the Department's core functions and strategic priorities through excellence in goods and services procurement practices. The branch is responsible for supporting and advising on the procurement of goods and services undertaken by Government schools, and undertaking category planning and strategy development as well as select procurements on behalf of schools.

The branch is also the policy owner for, and provides monitoring and reporting, as well as expert advice and support for:

* Procurement Policy for Victorian Government Schools
* Grants Policy
* Travel Policy
* Vehicle Policy (including for fuel card use)
* Gifts, Benefits and Hospitality Policy

As Director, Schools Procurement Branch, you will lead a team of approximately 13 staff that support schools with procurement, and also provide policy advice and related services for grants, travel, vehicles and gifts benefits and hospitality. You will bring your thought leadership, commercial skills, procurement expertise and significant management experience to this position.
