Director Transformation Analytics - Transformation Office (fixed term role)

About the Monash Health Transformation Team

The Transformation team undertakes projects where the organisation has chosen to challenge and change the fundamental assumptions of how it functions, and make a step change in the direction of our long term strategy. Transformation Delivery team members will engage a wide range of stakeholders to identify and design the future state, develop the pathway to delivery, and drive the change.

About The Role 

The Transformation Office is looking for a Director Transformation Analytics to join our dynamic team for 12 months, to cover the role of a permanent team member taking up a secondment in another team.

The Director Transformation Analytics is responsible for driving organisation transformation based on a deep understanding of organisation data and the opportunities for transformational change. This role comprises leadership of agreed priority projects or programs of work, building analytical capability within the Transformation Office team and the organisation more broadly, and lifting the cadence and level of analysis that supports executive decisions on transformation activities. 

The scope of this role includes taking an active role in developing the skills of the Transformation Office team, contributing as a member of the Transformation Office senior leadership group and helping to shape the strategic development of the team.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months. The Transformation team currently works mostly remotely (at home) with occasional attendance at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton where the team is based. The role may require working from other sites depending on the project(s) assigned.

What You Need

  • Extensive experience in analysis of organisational data for strategic transformation;

  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability in managing a range of complex tasks across a number of operational areas and organisational priorities;

  • Experience leading dispersed, interdisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects;

  • Strong understanding of operational areas within a Health Service, and a demonstrated ability to communicate the outcomes of detailed analysis to engage effectively and drive change in operations;

  • Excellent engagement and influencing skills including a demonstrated ability to create alignment of diverse stakeholders around a common approach to change;

  • Demonstrated track record of delivery in a large and complex organisation with competing priorities.

  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence

  • Australian working rights

  • Please note this Transformation role is not IT focused. The successful applicant will demonstrate experience delivering a broad range of significant organisational change, including projects that do not involve an IT component.
