Role

The successful applicant will be working, with the support of Principal Class, in our College¿s Disability Inclusion department leading our team of Inclusion Learning Assistants (Integration Aides) with a full time administrative focus including but not limited to:

  • The transition from PSD (Programs for Students with Disabilities) to DI (Disability Inclusion), including managing the DIP (Disability Inclusion Profile) process
  • The management of our College¿s Inclusion Learning Assistants, Visiting Teacher program, Student Support Group process
  • Being the direct point of contact between the College and our D.I. students, families and care teams where applicable
  • The management and use of NCCD (Nationally Consistent Collection of Data) and College achievement, wellbeing and attendance data to support our D.I. students

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position will be:

 

  • Overseeing the work of the Disability Inclusion Team including the ILA¿s (Inclusion Learning Assistants/Aides)
  • Overseeing the work currently referred to as Tier 2 and Tier 3 and moving towards implementation of the Disability Inclusion Reform
  • Administrative duties associated with this work

Reporting to and working with the Disability Inclusion Leader Kate Norman.

Emerald Secondary College offers a quality secondary education.
