About the role

The District Nursing Nurse Unit Manager provides operational management and care coordination to the District Nursing team in Community Health. The District Nursing team is based at Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health. The team receive referrals from a wide variety of sources, including through My Aged Care, GP clinics and Post-Acute Care. District Nursing provide a seven day a week service.

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse.


• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) via AHPRA


• Previous experience in a similar role or at senior management level e.g. AN/MM or equivalents


• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience


• A strong commitment to high quality care


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Excellent communication and organisational skills
