Your new team

  • NorthWestern Mental Health (NWMH) provides a comprehensive, integrated range of services to people with a serious mental illness in North-Western Melbourne.

  • A multi-disciplinary workforce of 1,800 staff provides services through four Area Adult Mental Health Services.  NWMH is a clinical service of Melbourne Health and operates in partnership with Northern Health and Western Health.

  • We highly value creative staff, and provide support for staff to be involved in areas of interest.

  • The Sunshine Adult Acute Inpatient team are committed to supporting staff wellbeing in a dynamic, busy environment and promote work/life balance with: flexible self-rostering, reflective practice, support of comprehensive professional development

Your success in this role, will be in your ability to

  • Contribute to excellence in patient care and provide the highest standard of clinical input to the ECT Team and maintains the philosophy, standards and policies of North Western Mental Health, Melbourne Health.

  • Support the day-to-day operation of ECT treatments in the Day Procedure Unit at Sunshine Hospital in partnership with the ECT coordinator and delegated Nurse Unit Manager.

  • Be committed to learning and professional development

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Your Contribution

  • Highly developed clinical nursing skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families and other service providers

  • Proven nursing skills and relevant experience in working with client’s severe psychosis

  • Committed to the provision of a client-centred and recovery-focused care
