Ability to lead process to identify barriers to learning for individual and groups of students.

Role

The Disability and Inclusion Leader will have overall responsibility for the Student Disabilities Program (PSD). 

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate areas where students require targeted support and assistance to overcome barriers to learning.

Inform and drive school-wide strategies for improvement in line with the College Strategic Plan, Annual Implementation Plan and current curriculum trends as well as implementation strategies related to Education State and Framework for Improving Student Outcomes.

Location Profile

Sunbury Downs College is a vibrant Year 7 to 12 co-educational secondary college situated in the semi-rural of Sunbury. It is a growing co-educational secondary college with student enrolment numbers around 650.

The College offers a rich educational experience in an environment with excellent educational outcomes, high expectations and strong student management. The College regards itself as an academic school with a wide range of programs. There is a strong emphasis on core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Physical Education; complemented by programs in the Arts/Technology, Performing Arts, Health and Languages (Italian). The school also offers a range of VCE subjects, including some VETiS studies and a structured, rigorous VCE Vocational Major program in Years 11-12.
