We are seeking an Education Lead to contribute to the improvement of Adult Retrieval Victoria's (ARV) training and education processes. 

This is a part time 0.42 FTE, permanent position currently based at AV's critical care centre in Essendon Fields. 

About the role

Reporting to the Director Adult Retrieval Victoria, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Consult, provide expert opinion and guidance on training and education of ARV staff in particular registrars
  • Develop a strategic learning and development plan to build ARV's capability and sustainability
  • Develop strategies to provide quality learning/education opportunities
  • Develop strong networks with industry colleagues to facilitate access to expertise
  • Provide strong and effective leadership to the Adult Retrieval department 

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess:

  • Appropriate specialist medical qualifications and relevant postgraduate qualifications or experience in clinical education
  • Victorian medical practitioner registration and compliance with specialist college CME requirements
  • Significant clinical experience in retrieval medicine
  • Experience in
    • The Australian health system (or knowledge of)
    • A medical retrieval service, (recent experience with ARV highly desirable)
    • Strategic level management with strong relationship management skills
    • Management and supervision of staff
