Selection Criteria

Role

Engineering Trainer including workshop maintenance.  Reports directly to Engineering Coordinator

Engineering Trainer and Assessor

Apprentice/SBAT training (3 days)

  • Deliver training in accordance with the students agreed training plan
  • Provide support and advice to students of diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities and implement appropriate LL&N support strategies and/or learning programs and strategies as required.
  • Meet evidence of participation requirements including documented evidence of student engagement in learning and assessment activities (e.g. student signatures, trainer notes, attendance roll, primary documents, logins etc.)
  • Student inductions including LL&N, pre-training reviews (Apprentices as required)
  • Emergency VETis teaching

 

Apprenticeship Administration (as required):

  • RsmART roll follow up any student absences/lateness with employer prior to 10.00am
  • aXcelerate resulting via aXcelerate trainer portal with high attention to detail
  • Documenting student issues and correspondence with employers etc.
    with file notes via aXcelerate trainer portal
  • Allocate students work
  • Other administration duties as required

Workshop maintenance (non-teaching day and term breaks)

RTO Compliance

  • Comply with RTO audit and review standards and requirements. Participate in internal RT audits. Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement processes across the Program area
  • Adhere to Ringwood Training policy and procedures
  • Undertake regular professional development to maintain and continuously improve individual professional competence as a trainer.

Ringwood Training Activities

Assists in Ringwood Training activities and events e.g. mini-conferences, continuing professional development, VET training days

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position will be:

Training and assessing students as per the requirements of the current training packages.

To provide support to Ringwood Training Engineering Department in the performance of RTO (Registered Training Organisation) activity that enhances the quality of training programs and meets compliance guidelines, conditions and standards set by VRQA and Higher Education Skills Group.
