About the Role

Are you interested in an opportunity to work in rehabilitation nursing?

Centre ward is a 38 bed rehabilitation and Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) ward specialising in rehabilitation and complex medical conditions. Currently the ward is operating as a 32 bed GEM ward with fluctuations to meet demand requirements in Eastern health. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide a rehabilitation approach to the care of our patients. Ongoing education and support is provided.

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic nurse, keen to work with older clients. You will assist them in regaining their independence and achieve the best possible outcome for them. You will have the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.

Flexibility with rostering is essential with availability for all shifts.

About You

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• A keen interest in caring for the older person


• Ability to work as part of a diverse team with well-developed interpersonal skills


• A strong commitment to high quality care


• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA 


• A keen interest in caring for the older person
