AM Shifts Available

Environmental Services Assistant (Diagnostic Imaging & Angio Department)

Week 1 and 3 (5 shifts per week)

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday                    0630 - 1430

Saturday & Sunday                                    0900 - 1700

Week 2 and 4 (2 shifts per week)

Thursday & Friday                                      0630 -1430

(52.5 hours per fortnight)

The General Services Department at Dandenong Hospital requires an Environmental Services Assistant to work as part of our team performing cleaning in our Diagnostic Imaging and Angio Department.

A Day in the Life

The ideal candidate will enjoy working within a committed team, with a good understanding on infection control cleaning processes within a cleaning processes within a health care setting. The Environmental Services Assistant plays a key role in supporting our clinical and non-clinical services to achieve strict infection control standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Environmental cleaning
  • Cleaning of floors surfaces
  • Cleaning stairwells, windows, window ledges and other surfaces
  • Bathroom and toilet cleaning

About You:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
  • Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
  • Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks

What you need:

  • Certificate III Cleaning Services (Desirable)
  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
  • A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service
  • Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks
  • Ability to understand, follow and implement written instructions and company procedures
  • Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
  • Basic to intermediate computer / digital skills
