South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an Ethics and Governance Support Officer. The Ethics and Governance Support Officer role within the Research Department provides support in the coordination of ethics and Site Specific Assessment (SSA) submissions at South West Healthcare (SWH). This includes facilitation through the SWH Human Research Ethics Committee (SWH HREC) and SWH Research Management & Governance Committee (RMGC).
This role also provides guidance to our researchers in the implementation of research ethics, project adherence to policy, procedure and operational processes as well as providing support to the senior members of the Research office. This is to enable safe, high quality research and clinical trials that align with SWH's strategic plan and in accordance with the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2023) national regulation and legislation and jurisdictional policies.

What you bring
The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong oral and written communication skills to manage complex and confidential matters in various formats. You will have experience in committee servicing and support (agendas, minute-taking and calendars), as well as understanding and interpreting policy, terms of reference and project documentation for diverse audiences. You can work well independently and as part of a team and are adept with/quick to learn software such as Microsoft 365, REDCap and ERM. This role requires both a strong attention to detail and the ability prioritise tasks for multiple open projects at different stages of completion simultaneously.
