The role of the Executive Assistant provides high-level executive support to the Executive Director, Policy and Strategy Division and broader executive office, including administrative support, management of services for office support, correspondence and record-keeping, and application of administrative procedures and protocols.

A key element of this role is providing high-level meeting organisation and preparation, this would include the preparation and distribution of meeting papers and at times taking minutes of meetings. The role also requires a leadership focus to monitoring and management of daily actions and approvals list, with an eye for critical analysis and escalation, as required.
The successful candidate will require excellent written communication skills to respond to general correspondence, and produce office products such as general communications, as directed. They should also have a strong eye for detail and take a proactive approach to executive support and being able to preempt executive needs.
This position requires the successful applicant to demonstrate interpersonal skills with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Policy and Strategy Division (PSD) is responsible for:
* Developing new ideas for policy and service design and delivery, that have a practical impact, built from an understanding of strategic challenges and Victorian Government goals.
* Monitoring a system-wide approach to all policy and service delivery, that considers not only the Victorian funded training system, but builds the interface and interrelationships with relevant national settings and services.
* Providing a client-centred perspective and approach, whether building or delivering policy, strategy, or delivering services directly to clients.
* Forming a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative evidence base to guide the prioritisation of government-funded training to meet industry and community needs and to monitor the performance of the VET sector.
PSD has flexible work arrangements with the option to be based three days in the office and two days from home or a regional hub.
