At the Victorian Department of Health we want a future where Victorians are the healthiest people in the world. A Victoria where our children and people thrive, our workplaces are productive and safe, and our communities are more connected.

The Executive Director, Planned Care Recovery and Reform leads a broad program of work to ensure timelyand equitable access to planned care for all Victorians and is responsible for several key components of planned care delivery at the statewide level (from reform to governance and accountability), which includes outlining the strategic direction for planned care in Victoria.
A key responsibility of this role will be to ensure health services deliver against their planned surgery targets set out in their Statement of Priorities and hold them accountable for annual performance through locally designed accountability and customised improvement approaches. A major component of this will be building, maintaining and influencing strong working relationships with senior health service stakeholders as well as engaging with the sector through regular communications and forums.
