About the role

Environmental Services has a large team of multi-skilled staff working across Ballarat our core work areas are at the Ballarat Base Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Centre. Staff can work in acute, sub-acute, Aged care, and Psychiatric services our staff work varying hours, mainly day shift, evenings and afternoon shifts. You will assist (as directed) in the efficient provision of cleaning and food services with the Environmental Services Department.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Set up kitchen, dining room, collect food trolleys, prepare toast and meals including distributing tea and coffee
  • Cleaning including mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, dusting.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in the following is desirable - cleaning, food services, customer service and team work, new employees would need to meet Grampians Health requirements,      
  • Food Handling Certificate (HLTFS207C - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices).
