FOOD SERVICES ASSISTANT

Andrews House - Residential Aged Care Facility – Trafalgar

Permanent Part Time – 64 hours per fortnight

Health & Allied Services, Food & Domestic Assistant $24.13-$26.42 per hour (excluding allowances)


Opportunities existfor enthusiastic and highly motivated applicants to join our Food Services team in the role of casual Food Services Assistant located at Andrews House, our Aged Care Facility in Trafalgar. This position will undertake a range of routine food tasks such as plating meals, serving meals, washing dishes, basic food preparation tasks. We have a part time position of up to 64 hours per fortnight available.

The Andrews House team works together in a friendly work environment that is resident focused and community minded.  We offer a “Smart Lift” program, in house salary packaging, free car parking and a supportive learning environment.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Current Certificate – Safe Food Handlers Certificate – HLTTFS7A or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous food services experience particularly within a Residential Aged Care setting
  • Commitment to providing a customer focused service
  • Ability to read and understand work procedures, patient diet lists, menus and safety instructions

IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the aged care sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
