We are seeking a warm, professional and engaging Adminisration / First Aid Assistant to join our general office with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Hours: 8.45 am - 12.30 pm - Monday to Friday.
General reception and customer service for the school's front of house; assisting visitors, students, parents and staff in person, by phone and email in a professional manner. Co-ordinate the delivery of administrative services within the school include, but not llimitd to: enrolment enquires and screening applications; student attendance; creating the newsletter; The ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality. Awarenessof ativities and events of the school in order to provide information to staff, students, parents and members of the wider community. Assisting the school nurse with first aid duties when required (training will be provided, if needed) |

Willmott Park Primary opened in 1995 with just over 100 students and enrols just under 800 in 2021. The school currently has a teaching and non-teaching staff of over 90. The demographic continues to change with an increasing diversification of family background and culture that brings a rich and positive perspective for the community. There is an increasing demand for OSHC (Out of School Hours Care) places that is housed in a free-standing, purpose-built and well-equipped facility. The school is 26 years old and has seen many building upgrades in 2008 & 2013. Two new prep level outdoor learning areas have been created to compliment developmental curriculum. These areas include sand pits, cubby houses and a large outdoor workspace.
Willmott Park boasts exceptional grounds and recreational play area that includes many recreational play zones, outdoor performing area, an all-weather play area, outdoor performance area, environmental planting areas, fitness room, music, art, science & other learning specialisation areas.
Staff professional learning has been a significant priority focusing an April to March P & D cycle on improving learning outcomes with literacy and numeracy. Teacher performance and development and improving student learning outcomes are prominent in both the strategic and annual implementation plans.
Specialist programs for all students include Physical Education, STEAM, Visual Arts and Music. English as an Additional Language (EAL) is offered for new arrivals and students with language other than English. A Deaf Facility operates within the school that has 12-students enrolled. The hearing-impaired students are integrated into classes and supported by the facility staff. To complement the Deaf Facility, Auslan (the signing language of the deaf) is offered as a Language Other Than English (LOTE).
Rapid changes in technology have led to providing meaningful and appropriate integration of ICT into student learning opportunities. Interactive LCD televisions & whiteboards are fitted in all classrooms and to compliment teaching and learning thus taking Willmott Park to the forefront of technology in schools. Netbooks are accessible in years 5 and 6 and all students are encouraged to have a personal iPad to support their learning at school and home.
A variety of curriculum support programs operate that include Reading Club 3-6, EAL, Speech Therapy, and Step into Preps on Learning and Developmental Curriculum in Prep. A wide variety of lunchtime programs (choir, band, gym, and computer etc.) continue to support student engagement. Extra-curricular programs are a big feature that includes EB (Energy Breakthrough) and many more.
Willmott Park is an exemplary school that continues to build teacher capacity through ongoing professional learning and careful recruitment.
