Grade 2 Physiotherapist – Amputee/Musculoskeletal   

  • Permanent position, (64hrs-80 hrs/fortnight)
  • Community Therapy Services - Royal Park Campus  
  • Provide physiotherapy service, clinical supervision and education of students and junior Physiotherapists

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of over 200 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Grade 2 Amputee/Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy service. 

This position will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to gain experience working in a well supported multidisciplinary team environment with a wide variety of Inpatient and Outpatient or Community clients. This role includes supervision and education of student and junior Physiotherapists. You will be expected to contribute to a 7 day service model as required.

Your new role:

  • Competently and independently assess, treat and manage amputee and musculoskeletal patients in the subacute and Community Therapy Service setting.
  • Work across a variety of caseloads.
  • Provide support across the inpatient rehabilitation and Community Therapy Service amputee and musculoskeletal caseloads as required.
  • Prioritise clinical load based on daily demand.
  • Be flexible to meet the clinical and workforce needs of the Physiotherapy department. 
  • You will provide support with hydrotherapy pool operations.

About You:

  • You are an experienced Physiotherapist with broad amputee and musculoskeletal Physiotherapy skills.
  • Experience in amputee and musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy patient management.
  • You have a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant team members from allied health, nursing and medical teams.
  • You have well developed communication, time management and organisational skills.
  • You have experience with supervision of staff and students.
