The position: Ongoing, 0.6 – 1.0 EFT by negotiation. Mid-Year entry 2024.

The program:

BRHS offers a 12-month single program providing the opportunity to consolidate practice in various areas in the clinical settings, including a potential primary health care rotation at Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) in Lakes Entrance. Rotations are available in; Medical/Surgical Tambo ward, Medical/Palliative/Paediatrics Rotamah ward, Rehabilitation/ AOD Flanagan ward and Aged Care. Specialty rotations may be available in; Emergency, Medical Imaging, Perioperative areas and Midwifery (dual degree graduates only). Specialty rotations are possible depending on available EFT and graduate suitability.

  • At completion of the Graduate Program, you will have the option of choosing either to participate in our Transition Program or apply for ongoing employment in an area of your choice according to available EFT.

What you need?

  • Having completed within the last 12 months or nearing completion of Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery and AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse and Midwife. Candidates with pending AHPRA registration are also welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the steps required to provide safe, professional, person-centred care.
  • Ability to recognise and respond to a patient/ resident whose condition is deteriorating.
  • Ability to contribute to a high functioning team.
