Maintain buildings, grounds and gardens under the direction of the Business/Facilities Manager or delegate.
Organise equipment for students undertaking environment duty or community service and direct students to the areas determined by the schedule established by the Business/Facilities Manage or delegate. Monitor those students have fulfilled the requirements of their duty or service time.
Maintain staff areas including supplies and organise the set-up and operations for events
Maintain the physical classroom environment and storerooms
Undertaking maintenance to grounds, gardening and cleaning
General maintenance of locks, furniture and structures
General electrical work - globe change, check points, check items are current with testing and tagging
General plumbing - gutters and downpipes cleaning, taps and minor blockages and fixes etc
Support the Business/Facilities Manager regarding store of stock and equipment related to this position
Check maintenance and grounds log as per Heathmont College systems and processes
Maintain Department of Education and Training OHS logs and protocols and procedures as required
Other duties as requested by the Principal or delegate
Maintain currency of professional knowledge and skills
Ensure that the school complies with relevant government regulations and policies
Comply with OHS requirements and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for self and others
Fulfill any duties assigned by the Principal or delegate with the relevant ES dimensions of work

Heathmont College has adopted a House system with 4 Houses. This has enabled a vertical management structure to look after the educational and wellbeing needs of all students. A mentor program and whole school implementation of Positive Education will enhance student and staff connectedness. The College offers a traditional VCE course of study with students in Year 10 being able to access a range of VCE Units 1 & 2 to enhance their study. A VM course of study at Intermediate and Senior levels is offered to selected students.
Students in Year 9 follow a traditional course of study with the addition of our LiFE Program designed to challenge and engage students.
A variety of enrichment and excellence programs are offered across the College. Students in Years 7-11 can apply for selection to our Sports Academy.
In 2022, Heathmont College opened our new state of the art Sports Stadium, a facility that hosts the Heathmont College Sports Academy Program as well as community competition basketball. 2024 saw the completion of our Performing Arts Centre which is host to our annual school production.
