Role

Typical Duties will be timetabled to include:

Operating hand tools such as leaf blowers

Maintaining the Stephanie Alexander kitchen garden

Applying mulch fertilizers, herbicides

Weeding, trimming, and pruning gardens on a planned cycle

Remove unhealthy plants and shrubs and any downed limbs

Watering grounds and gardens

Rake gum leaves and other vegetation from gardens

Plant shrubs and trees

Remove rubbish form outdoor areas

Work with other maintenance staff as required

An interest in plants and gardens

Location Profile

Rowville Primary School has extensive grounds and gardens including a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden. Our grounds create a sense of place, and visitors often comment on the high quality of our outdoor environment. We are seeking a meticulous, hardworking person who has a passion for working in gardens. The successful applicant will maintain our outdoor areas so that they are safe, clean, and attractive.

Hours of Work: 8.00am- 3.00pm Monday to Friday
