About the role:

An opportunity for one (1) x Hub Managerto be part of our Health and Wellbeing Hub for the Transport & Public Safety Command Hub, located in Docklands.

The Health and Wellbeing Hub is the single most significant investment in the health, safety, and wellbeing of Victoria Police employees to prevent and respond to work related injuries. Six multi-disciplinary teams are being established, based in hubs across the state, with a focus on enhancing employee's mental health, injury prevention, early intervention, and recovery support.

This newly created team offers an exciting opportunity to support Victoria Police employees. You will lead your team to deliver robust health and wellbeing services, with a focus on uplifting mental health across the region.

The Hub Manager is a senior leader responsible for a multidisciplinary team of health, safety, and wellbeing professionals. The position will drive strategic objectives and influence senior managers to achieve results. this position will serve as a critical link between the on the ground multidisciplinary team, Region/Command/Department leadership and Health, Safety & Wellbeing divisional leads to ensure shared purpose and aligned objectives.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the incumbent will work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, including the central leadership team, technical leads, and regional managers and leadership to achieve safe and sustainable health and wellbeing outcomes through a multidisciplinary approach.

Your duties will include:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of health, safety, and wellbeing professionals to deliver high quality services in a range of disciplines, with a focus on improving the overall wellbeing of our employees.
  • Drive strategic direction and business planning in local hubs to focus on preventative and proactive initiatives.
  • Develop and support an engaged team culture, ensuring you support your team in their professional development and continuous improvement planning.
  • Collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality service delivery across all disciplines and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through tracking key performance indicators and innovative quality improvement projects, and work with your leadership team on program evaluation, reporting and improvement strategies based on this data.
  • Provide high level reports and briefings to senior managers anything health, safety, and wellbeing relate within your region.

 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with specific experience in large or complex organisations.
  • A wealth of knowledge in steering diverse teams, with a knack for coaching and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving strategic objectives, ideally across a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Expert communication skills, and an ability to negotiate complex and sensitive issues.
  • Proven talent for influence and negotiation, inspiring individual contributors, leaders, and stakeholders to collaborate to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for their people.
  • Expertise in monitoring and evaluation of projects, with stakeholder satisfaction at the forefront of your work.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • This position requires regular travel, including occasional overnight travel. Applicants must hold a current Driver's Licence.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
