About the Business Unit:
The Grampians West (GWR) Region provides justice services from Justice Service Centres in Ballarat and Ararat, and Horsham. Two prisons are located within the region, minimum security H.M Prison Langi Kal Kal and medium security Hopkins Correctional Centre.
This position is based at H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal which is a minimum-security male prison facility focused on preparing prisoners for their transition back into the community.
About the Role:
Being an entry level position within the Human Resources Team, the Human Resources Officer provides a range of human resource support services within the unique operational environment of a correctional facility. The primary focuses are to perform the recruitment processes for the Prison Precinct. Other duties may include payroll and the preparation of rosters, which includes high volume phone work and accurate data entry within achievable timeframes.
