Motivated individual to support people with easy access to information on non-legal and legal family law matters.
About the role:
In this role you will support people to access and receive family law and family violence legal and non-legal services in the Family Advocacy Support Services (FASS) based at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) by managing effective triage, identifying risk, providing legal and non-legal information and referrals through a court based or telephone service.
You will also support the FASS project by working alongside legal services, duty lawyers, family violence support services, mental health services and court staff to ensure people feel safe, supported, respected, and have their legal and non-legal needs met in a timely manner.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD and Dandenong but will be required to independently travel to outreach services, courts and tribunals throughout Victoria.

About FASS:
Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS) is an integrated service for families involved in family law proceedings who are affected by family violence. The FASS service builds on the existing duty lawyer services and incorporates the expertise of specialist family violence services into the family law system, by providing support services located at the court registries, to improve responses to families involved in family law court proceedings where there are issues of family violence.
