About the role


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced program manager to join the statewide cancer services improvement program at Eastern Health. Employing a collaborative approach, the Integrated Cancer Services Statewide Coordinator will provide a communication and coordination function across nine existing consortia who are responsible for the implementation of cancer reform and innovation across Victoria.  Ideally suiting a candidate who has extensive experience in building trusting and effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, the role requires working across organisational boundaries and working closely with the Department of Health and Human Services.



We are looking for someone who has a demonstrated understanding of the health sector as it applies to the Integrated Cancer Services remit including understanding of policy, practice, Victoria’s health setting, quality and safety, regional health, regulation and compliance.  This is an outstanding opportunity to work across organisational boundaries. 


 



About you 


To be successful in this role you should possess:



  • Tertiary qualification in a health or business related field

  • Extensive experience in building trusting and effective relationships

  • Experience in working across organisational boundaries

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively

  • Demonstrated understanding of the health sector

  • Commitment and ability to operate in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner

  • Experience in managing complex issues using conceptual and analytical skills
