The Laboratory Supplies Officer works collaboratively with the Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Services Officer and other Laboratory Management Team (LMT) members, to provide a range of general laboratory support services to scientists at AgriBio, enabling research teams to focus on scientific outcomes. The LMT works together with other support teams within a highly collaborative framework that also encompasses the business management and administration networks from both Agriculture Victoria Research and La Trobe University, the Compliance Management Team, Glasshouse Management Team, AgriBio Facility Management, and various operating committees.
Laboratory Supplies Officer, with the support of a Lab Assistant, is responsible for all processes associated with ensuring the availability and timely delivery of general laboratory consumables and waste bins, clean glassware and chemicals in order to support the research teams, and in maintaining accurate records in accordance with financial and regulatory requirements. The LSO is expected to ensure safe and compliant receipting of deliveries and notification to stakeholders, maintaining current stock inventory, a clutter free and safe work environmet, management of waste, glassware and laboratory coats.
Further to this the Laboratory Supplies Officer and team will support the Lab Manager in ensuring that all key LMT deliverables are met, by covering for colleagues in other activities and processes within LMT such as supporting team members with the management of access, equipment and chemicals and lab inspections.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is Bundoora with hybrid work arrangements available.
