About us

Technology Solutions (TS) provides Information Technology (IT) services and solutions to the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).  TS supports the DJCS vision of ‘a justice and community safety system that works together to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria' through the effective management of technology innovation, value, risk and performance quality. TS is a business unit within the Corporate Governance and Support (CGaS) Division of DJCS and delivers its services to all Divisions across the DJCS portfolio.

Technology Solutions also provides specialist expertise for high-risk and high-value projects, and is responsible for the technical planning, management, and support of projects on behalf of other departmental business units.

About the role

As a Lead Risk Manager, you are responsible for:

  • Promoting strong risk culture across projects and programs of work through Fines NextGen Program Control Office
  • providing specialist advice to influence decisions and ensure the effectiveness of risk management policies and procedures
  • lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of various projects, software, and processes, in line with the relevant standards, frameworks and obligations
  • ensuring compliance, understanding risk exposure, and providing support to delivery effective outcomes.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • sound knowledge and understanding of risk management: functional knowledge of the key principles of the ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Standard is mandatory
  • proven experience with compliance and resilience frameworks: functional knowledge of the key principles of AS3806 Compliance Management Standard and BCP standards are mandatory
  • demonstrated experience in the Government sector or a consulting environment is desirable
  • tertiary qualification ideally in Risk Management, Business Management and/or Commerce is desirable
  • Project Management Certification (Prince 2, Agile, SAFe) is desirable.
