About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning Manager to lead a team in the design, development and delivery of an organisational capability project.  This project focuses on the training strategy of Victoria Police members for the Public Drunkenness Decriminalisation trials in Victoria.  This project will change the services that Victorians are provided when intoxicated.  It is part of the Victorian's Government health led response to public intoxication reform.

This is a high profile and complex project that requires a high level of flexibility and innovative thinking.  You'll working closely with policy project team to develop relevant training to the trial sites.  You'll report to a Program Manager and will have the support of Victoria Police members to provide the cultural implications to ensure success.

You will lead a small team and providing coaching to ensure that they are delivering a quality product and achieving the project outcomes.

This role will suit someone with a background in learning design, experienced people manager and seeking a project that will have significant impact.

You will initially work from the Victoria Police Academy.  There will be an expectation that you will attend the trial sites to support your team; City of Yara, City of Greater Dandenong and Shepparton.

Your duties will include:

  • Review and/ or complete a Training Needs Analysis (TNA)

  • Design a training strategy as per the TNA

  • Design the implementation plan and evaluation strategy

  • Develop all curriculum and learning materials

  • Implement the training strategy to all trial sites

  • Lead and coach a team of education consultants/ facilitators

  • Manage deliverables as per the project milestones

  • Submit project reporting and provide advice

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven experience in design and development of learning programs

  • Ability to consider innovative and flexible approaches to learning

  • Excellent people and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Adaptability to changing circumstances

  • Performing in an environment with a high level of uncertainty

  • Qualifications in a relevant field

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One fulltime, fixed term position available until 30 June 2022..
