Management of Clinical Aggression (MOCA) Coordinator (RPN 5)

Your new team

Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital,provides specialist mental health services, focusing on early intervention, for young people aged 15 to 25 with severe and complex mental illness.

Your new role:

  • Coordinate the MOCA Program across OSP, including the delivery of training, assessing training outcomes through local rehearsals and participating in an ongoing evaluation process across the various settings
  • Provide strategic direction for the ongoing development of the MOCA program including the training model and project aims
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders and external stakeholders to continuously shape the approach to MOCA across our services
  • Coordinate MOCA education and training components in accordance RMH/OSP policy and procedure, inclusive of any changes to the program as Orygen grows and transforms.

About You:

  • Comprehensive clinical expertise to initiate and lead evidence-based nursing practice in the delivery of care to young people with complex mental health needs
  • Experience in training, especially MOCA
  • Leadership experience, including provision of consultation, and education to clinical workforce
  • Nurses from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply
