We are seeking a senior Manager of Economics and Pricing to lead Coliban Water’s economic regulation and pricing compliance.

Coliban Region Water Corporation is based in Bendigo and is one of the largest Victorian regional urban water corporations. Our service area covers 16,550 square kilometres including 49 towns and is at the southern gateway to the Murray-Darling basin – Australia's food bowl. About the Role

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager of Strategy, Economics and Data, we are seeking a senior Manager of Economics and Pricing to lead Coliban Water's economic regulation and pricing compliance. With your leadership, your team will be responsible for the full life cycle of the five-yearly Pricing Submission including development of financial and non-financial inputs, creation of innovative pricing strategies, and presenting critical pricing information to the Board. In addition, your financial modelling expertise will ensure Coliban Water optimises its net revenue from water entitlements and certain business contracts

 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, prepare and manage the full life-cycle of the Pricing Submission, including managing inputs related to expenditure, water consumption and customer prices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders – internal, government and non-government.
  • Approval and internal ownership of all customer fees and charges.
  • Lead the newly established business reporting function and provide expert advice regarding the economic climate and future trends.
  • Manage and implement short term and visionary long-term pricing strategies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance business processes.

 

Successful Candidate

  • Tertiary qualification in Economics, Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Ability to provide influential economic advice to the corporation, including to Board level.
  • Extensive experience in people management.
  • A current Victorian Driver Licence.

 

Salary

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2017 Band 6, $128,000 – $150,000 Salary will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
