About the Role

The Finance Business Partnering Manager, leads a team to provide key financial services, manages Oracle Project data and coordinate project budgeting and forecasting processes. The role ensures data integrity, compliance with financial policies, offers strategic advice, decision-making and enhancing performance through effective financial strategy implementation.

Position Outcomes

  • Lead and manage a financial business partnering team to plan, prioritise and provide a range of financial business partnering services, (budgets and forecasts development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, business analysis of pricing, costing and expenditure, financial governance considerations and financial risk management) to assist internal clients in their business planning, decision making and business performance.
  • Spearhead the management of Oracle Project financial information, including the comprehensive review of Operating and Capital data for project initiatives. Ensure data integrity and accuracy within several financial modules.
  • A crucial role in aligning departmental financial forecasts and budgeting processes for projects and subprojects. This entails a collaboration with Business units and Oracle Financial support teams to streamline financial planning and control, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial management practices.
  • Lead through the provision of finance business partnering services, the effective implementation of the Department’s financial strategy, policies and budget priorities, ensure compliance with the Financial Management Act and Directions of the Minister for Finance, and ensure compliance with the Department’s financial policies and procedures.

 

Key Selection Criteria

  • Excellent financial technical knowledge and skills and application of financial, cost and management accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Financials and other financial management software.
  • Highly developed specialised financial analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop financial related initiatives and practical solutions that will positively assist internal management in their management and decision making relating to franchise and service contractual arrangements.
  • Exceptional ability and successful experience in building strong relationships and liaising with internal management and external stakeholders in regard to the provision of financial management support services.

 

Qualifications and Experience
Desirable 

Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline.

Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA Program.
