Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Manager of the Immunisation Clinical Team, Immunisation Unit is responsible for the leadership, strategic planning and operational oversight of the clinical advice, communication and information to immunisation providers in Victoria.

The position is responsible for leading a professional team of clinical immunisation nurses to provide accurate and timely clinical advice by telephone and email to Victorian immunisation providers as per the recommendations of the Australian Immunisation Handbook. The role also involves the implementation and evaluation of policies and strategies to improve vaccination coverage in all service models including areas that are of low coverage or of cohorts that are high risk and vulnerable. This position supports policy development and analysis for the delivery of, high quality sustainable immunisation services in Victoria.

The position operates in a complex and dynamic environment. It requires sound judgement, the ability to authoritively plan and manage, to develop and support capacity and capability, and to ensure the work of the Immunisation Clinical Team meets the strategic priorities of the branch and department.
