About the Role

The Manager – R&L Projects plays a key role in coordination, tracking and reporting to enable the delivery of registration and licencing projects both within DTP and the VicRoads Joint Venture. This includes both individual projects and the project program as a whole.

This includes initiating engagement and communication with key stakeholders across the division, department, and the VicRoads Joint Venture Operator. This position requires the coordination of the multiple registration and licencing tasks to successfully deliver projects.

The role also involves leading a small team and providing oversight of project managers assisting with the delivery of R&L projects.

Position Outcomes   

  • Provide leadership to enable the successful delivery of registration and licencing related projects to agreed scope, time, quality and budget whilst ensuring project outcomes achieved align with the DTP Strategy.
  • High quality project governance and operating in compliance with a whole of project life cycle process with appropriate stage gates and peer reviews that deliver the highest quality R&L projects.
  • Management of a high performing project management team.
  • Highly satisfied clients and stakeholders who trust the Manager – R&L Projects for accurate, high-quality advice relating to the project’s delivery and innovative solutions to complex issues as they arise.
  • Effective collaboration management of multiple stakeholders, and stakeholder cooperation and involvement at senior level to ensure high quality project delivery.
  • Successful representation of DTP and the Division in a range of internal and external forums.
  • Provide timely advice to third party external works applications, ministerial enquiries and e-briefings.

Proficiency in stakeholder management is essential, with a focus on building strong relationships, adding value, and fostering connections across relevant areas. A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement is required, actively seeking ways to enhance processes and introduce innovative practices. Additionally, the candidate should possess advanced resource management capabilities, including determining resource needs, establishing utilisation guidelines, and integrating optimisation practices into daily operations.
