The Strategic Communications Group offers expert advice and support to the department and is responsible for the Department's communications, media management, internal communications, publications, event management, public affairs, media liaison, speech writing, presentations, social media and digital strategies, video and website.

About the role

VPS 6 - Fixed term - 12 months

Within the Strategic Communications team, the Market Housing team is responsible for delivering the $500 million Victorian Homebuyer Fund, an expanded shared equity scheme helping to accelerate Victorians into home ownership. 

This newly created role will be a key member of the project team, overseeing the design and delivery of all communications-related activity for the Victorian Homebuyer Fund and its predecessor, HomesVic. 

This role is a hybrid of both a project manager and communications manager and will work in partnership with the policy team delivering this scheme. This role will be responsible for;

• the design and scope of the campaigns to achieve the Government's objectives.
• engaging and actively managing suppliers and stakeholders ensuring compliance with all relevant governance policies and requirements.
• managing the development and ongoing maintenance of the Victorian Homebuyer Fund's campaign website and social media channels
• managing the delivery of project initiatives and campaign activities.

About you

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Proven ability to manage complex, high-profile communications and marketing campaigns.
• Robust project management skills with the proven ability to manage suppliers and respond to the changing needs of your client.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills specifically working with and providing advice to senior management and executives.
• Exceptional communication skills coupled with the capability to adapt appropriately for specific audience groups.
