About the roles:
We are seeking three outstanding candidates to take up management roles in these critical Criminal Law program areas. Each role is responsible for supporting the Program Manager in the strategic and operational leadership of each program as well as managing the Melbourne based teams. This includes the day-to-day operations in various Courts, operational service design and delivery, and thoughtful people management. You will also engage external stakeholders and build productive relationships.

The Youth Crime role will manage day-to-day operations in the Melbourne Children's Courts ensuring that children are treated fairly and outcomes have a therapeutic focus reflecting the unique status and vulnerability of children.

The Indictable Crime role will lead the provision of high-quality legal services for indictable matters, including the provision of duty lawyer legal services for custody, sexual offence and committal stream matters.

The Therapeutic Courts role will provide state-wide support to therapeutic and specialist courts including Drug Courts, Assessment and Referral Courts, Koori Courts, and the Neighbourhood Justice Centre promoting the use of therapeutic approaches.

About you:
You are an engaged leader with demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams, developing talent and fostering positive and inclusive teams. You will be a skilled lawyer with substantial practicing experience in criminal law. You will also have a good understanding of current trends, systemic issues our clients face and the ability to develop policies and systems to improve service delivery.

Crucial to your success in this role will be your excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and respect with a range of stakeholders, staff and community partners.
