About the Role

The Specialist Clinics are looking for an enthusiastic medical photographer, or orthoptist with medical photography skills, to fill  Grade 1 and Grade 2 positions on  short term contracts.

The Grade 2 role is full time until July 2023 and the Grade 1 role is 2 days a week until August 2023. These hours are negotiable. 

The primary responsibility of the applicants will be working as part of the Medical Photography team producing diagnostic imaging of patients for review by the medical staff same-day.

We are looking for applicants with knowledge of ophthalmic and/or general medical photography. Familiarity with common ophthalmic diagnostic imaging modalities such as OCT, (i.e Spectralis, Cirrus), Pentacam, non-mydriatic retinal photography and OPTOS imaging is an advantage.

In addition, we require you to have excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, the ability to problem solve, able to thrive in a busy environment with conflicting demands, be a team player, and have a strong willingness to learn.

All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Record Check, a working with children check (if applicable) and evidence of vaccination status All staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses) and for clinical staff, patient facing staff and staff working in clinical areas it is a mandatory requirement to provide evidence of a current influenza vaccination.
