We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT). Deliver critical mental health support, including assessment, treatment, and consultations for individuals experiencing challenges like depression and anxiety. Collaborating closely with GPs and other health professionals, this role focuses on providing short- to medium-term care while championing Recovery-Oriented and trauma-informed practices. Are you passionate about mental health and ready to make a real difference? We're seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to work within our Primary Mental Health Team (PMHT) to provide vital mental health support to individuals experiencing high-prevalence challenges such as depression and anxiety. Based at our Camperdown Campus.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver comprehensive mental health care in Camperdown.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers, particularly GPs, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide primary and secondary consultations for consumers and their GPs.
  • Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and offer short- to medium-term care interventions.

Position Overview:

  • Part-Time Permanent Role: 48 hours per fortnight.
  • Camperdown Campus 

What You Bring:
We're looking for a mental health professional with:

  • Strong clinical skills and experience in mental health services.
  • Knowledge of contemporary mental health practices and trends.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

This role is open to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse: AHPRA registration with a minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health services (Desirable). Completion of a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program.
  • Occupational Therapist: Registration from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Social Worker: Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Psychologist: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. 

Salary Ranges

  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3: $99,739.60 - $102,278.80 pro rata, + super
  • Occupational Therapist Grade 2: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 pro rata, + super
  • Social Worker Grade 2: $86,304.40 - $99,210.80 pro rata, + super
  • Psychologist Grade 2: $92,627.60 - $104,811.20 pro rata, + super

Incentives This position is eligible for incentive payments for rent, childcare, relocation costs, and more, as part of the Workforce and Incentive Grants Program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
