About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Social Worker to join a dynamic Allied Health team at the Mental Health Intensive Recovery Program (Bed Based Units).

The Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) provides secure, longer-term care for people who have unremitting and severe symptoms of mental illness or disorder and are unable to be safely or adequately treated in less restrictive settings.  Consumers, their families and supporters, are provided with specialised mental health treatment, therapies, and programs tailored to support recovery, and minimise the ill effects of long-term care.

The Senior Social Worker is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based care in collaboration with the consumer, their carers, families, and supporters.

The Senior Social Worker works with a Recovery Oriented framework to deliver high quality Social Work services to consumers, including therapeutic interventions, and collaborating in formulating and facilitating complex discharge planning.  The Senior Social Worker works assertively to strengthen the discharge planning process, demonstrating the ability to work in a dynamic environment to meet the competing needs of our consumers, families, and their supporters.

For the right candidate, part time will be considered.
